Mediation Services – The Association is available to assist parties involved in animal rescue disputes or difficulties via structured mediation services.  All issues will be addressed by a mediation team of at least three experienced animal rescue members.  Dispute or conflict information will be evaluated using the Animal Rescue Code of Ethics as the standard for quality rescue operations and activities.   The mediation team will render an opinion and will work with all parties to achieve an amicable and appropriate resolution.  In most cases, there will be no charge for Association mediation services.

Microchip Alert – Having your veterinarian insert the Microchip Identification chip into your pet is only the FIRST STEP! Many owners fail to register their pet's information with a registry service. Either they don't know to do this or they have forgotten. In either case, your pet may not find it's way back to you if picked up as a stray and scanned at a shelter! See tips for registration below.

Microchip Registration Tips – There are many registry services that maintain a database of microchipped pets whose owners have registered them with their service. When your pet is microchipped, ask your veterinarian where to REGISTER the chip for the safe return of your pet. Click here for list of registry services (coming soon)

When Your Microchipped Pet is Lost – Call the registrar of your microchipped pet (the registry service who you registered your pet with) and let them know your pet is missing. They will place this information on their "hot list. This is also a good time to verify that they have your current address and all of your current phone numbers (cell, home, office). There may be a nominal fee charged to update information in their database.
