Sadie (beagle)
Sadie came in originally named "Casey". She was from a high kill shelter
and Cascade Beagle Rescue, C.R.O, pulled her
literally at the 11th hour. She is
an alumnus from its East coast chapter and was adopted after
her owners long time buddy, Jake passed over the rainbow bridge. Jake's
dad called the CBR hotline not certain he was ready for a new dog so soon
after his loss. Director Pattie Scully heard the grief in his voice and
suggested that he stop by her house just to visit with some beagles to
lift his spirits. Murray stayed for more than 3 hours playing with and
meeting all of the dogs in foster care and it was very soon afterward that
he came out to adopt Sadie and look at her now - she's been a poster girl
in the Cascade TriBone and recently she has been added to the product line at
AnimalsInk as a model for their Paws beagle magnet.
We're proud of the progress that Sadie (and Murray) have made and wish
them only the best. |

Sebastian (Beagle)
This one year old beagle was kicked by his owner causing a life threatening spinal cord injury resulting in paralysis. "Just put him down," they said. The ER veterinarian saw a special boy and called on the help of Cascade Beagle Rescue, C.R.O. , a Portland, OR based rescue organization Certified through the Animal Rescue Association of America. This organization took over the care of this sweet dog and saved him from certain euthanasia. He was in the ICU unit for 10 days, then he started physical rehabilitation at Back on Track Veterinary Rehabilitation with Bianca Shaw, DVM's crew. After several months of intense therapy, lots of loving care and hope, Sebastian has had an near-full recovery! He was adopted and now lives in a loving home in Idaho.
